Missing Newport Beach woman found

A Newport Beach woman missing since Aug. 24 has been found, police said Monday.

Erika Lopez, 24, was found near Michelson Drive and Harvard Avenue in Irvine, according to a statement from Newport Beach police. A passerby apparently had recognized her.

Lopez was “in good physical health” and reunited with her family, the statement said.

Family members had told police that Lopez was in need of medical attention at the time she had gone missing in Huntington Beach.
