Cinepolis construction to begin this month

Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas has confirmed that they will open a Laguna Niguel location in Ocean Ranch.

J Public Relations, which represents Cinépolis’ other location in Del Mar, said that Cinépolis is in the initial planning stages with designers and city officials, and construction will begin later this month.

Officials said they’re aiming for the theater to be open by spring 2012.

The Coastline Pilot reported in late August that Cinépolis, which is the largest movie chain in Latin America, was scouting the city for its third U.S. location. Cinépolis opened its first theater on North American soil in Del Mar, and a La Costa theater is currently in the works.

The luxury theater in Del Mar includes a restaurant, bar and state-of-the-art, dine-in theaters.
