Two taken to hospital after crash

One person was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange on Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision in Huntington Beach.

One of the drivers was extricated by firefighters after the collision at about 3 p.m. on Edinger Avenue west of Gothard Street, officials said.

The other driver was transported to Huntington Beach Hospital.

The drivers’ condition is not known, and the cause of the collision is unclear. Officials did not know the identify of the drivers or their gender.
