A body of a 24-year-old Costa Mesa man found in Huntington Harbour has been identified, according to the county coroner.

Estanislao Hernandez-Garcia was found at 6:11 p.m. Feb. 1 after his family filed a missing person’s report with the Huntington Beach Police Department, according to Huntington police Lt. Mitchell O’Brien.

Hernandez-Garcia worked cleaning boats in the harbor, and his family became concerned after they hadn’t heard from him after work, O’Brien said.

His family drove to his workplace, where they discovered his car and contacted authorities.

Police notified the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Harbor Patrol, which dispatched a team of divers who discovered Hernandez-Garcia’s body.

An autopsy was performed, but a cause of death remains unknown pending further investigation, according to Deputy Coroner Mitchell Sigal.

There were no signs of foul play, O’Brien said.
