Fresh & Easy’s grand opening is Wednesday

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market is expected to open a second Costa Mesa location Wednesday morning with giveaways and promotional pricing on some products, according to a store spokesman.

A five-day grand opening celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. with a $1,000 check to be presented to the charitable organization Knots of Love, which was selected by the stores’ 30 employees, according to information provided to the Daily Pilot by spokesman Brendan Wonnacott.

The 10,000-square-foot store replaces the Fountain Valley location, also on Harbor Boulevard, which closed last month. Most of the employees were transferred to the new Costa Mesa location.

The store will feature the same products, which contain no added trans fats, or artificial colors or flavors that the brand has become know for providing to health-conscious customers.

A second location, at Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue in Garden Grove, is opening the same day.
