A man was reportedly stabbed during a fight at the Q Club & Cafe in Costa Mesa early Saturday morning, according to police.

Myron Davidson, 58, of Costa Mesa, was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

Police received an anonymous call at 12:23 a.m. reporting a stabbing near 19th Street and Harbor Boulevard, but police could not locate a victim. Shortly after the call, police received another from Hoag Hospital indicating they had a stabbing victim.

The victim was a 37-year-old Corona resident. He suffered a 5-inch laceration in his chest area, Sgt. Bryan Wadkins said, adding the injury was not believed to be life threatening.

The victim’s wife was able to provide officers with information, leading them to the bar at 1525 Mesa Verde Drive East.

Witnesses identified the suspect, Davidson, as a regular at the bar. He was located a short distance away. Police said they recovered the knife, which had been discarded in a trash can.

Davidson had minor injuries that police said could have been sustained in the physical altercation.
