Mother arrested after crashing car with her kids inside
An allegedly intoxicated driver crashed into a palm tree in Newport Beach, injuring herself and her three children, police said Tuesday.
Heather Michelle Juarez, 39, of Ladera Ranch was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
She and her three children were taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana after her black Mercedes crashed at 3:50 p.m. at L Street Park, near Plaza del Sur, according to NBPD spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.
No information was available about the condition or recovery of those involved in the crash.
