French Riviera-inspired eatery Fig & Olive will open at Fashion Island next year, the Irvine Co. announced this week.
With four locations in New York and one in Los Angeles, Fashion Island will mark the Fig & Olive's sixth restaurant.
Menu items focus on olive oils and simple cooking, with a mix of small plates, paninis and entrées. Dishes include zucchini carpaccio and fig Gorgonzola tartlet.
The restaurant in the Newport Beach shopping center will also offer imported charcuterie, cheese, olives, marinated vegetables and wines.
Small plate and entrée prices at the location off Melrose Avenue range from $16 to $40.
