Phone call: Jack Wu’s June 24 column incorrectly described the tone of a telephone call Newport Beach council critic Bob Rush said he had with Councilwoman Leslie Daigle. The column incorrectly stated that Daigle screamed at Rush on the phone. In fact, Rush said the councilwoman did not scream at him, saying only that she raised her voice or yelled. Daigle said that she did not yell or scream at Rush, had no memory of speaking to him on the phone and was not contacted for the column to verify the claims.
