Jeffery Robert Frum

Jeffery Robert Frum (August 16th, 1990 – July 26th, 2012)

Jeffery Robert Frum was killed in a tragic accident while driving a Kubota on a farm in coastal New Zealand. Jeffery was born and raised in Newport Beach - he attended grade school at Maranatha Christian Academy and junior high and high school at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. He then attended Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, graduating in May 2012 with a major in Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies.
Jeffery was more than an outstanding student; he was an accomplished athlete and a life-long baseball player. During high school, Jeffery played varsity baseball all four years, earning 1st Team All-League and Team Most Valuable Player during his junior and senior years. In addition, he played varsity soccer for 3 years. At Pitzer College, Jeffery was a second baseman for the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. Jeffery also enjoyed surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding and golfing. He was an active member of the local community as a Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard for six consecutive years. And he attended Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa since childhood.
Jeffery will be remembered as a vibrant young man with a love and passion for life. His infectious smile brightened the world for those around him. Always friendly and kind to those he met, he made outsiders feel included and made newcomers feel a part. His dedication and love for his family and friends was unmatched. Jeffery was a young man who touched many people’s lives and will be greatly missed.
Jeffery is survived by his sisters, Lauren-Leigh and Jenna; and his parents, Jeff and Mardi. A Celebration of Jeffery’s life will be held on Friday, August 17th at 3pm at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, CA with a reception following. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 18th at 11am at Pacific View Memorial Park, all are welcome to attend.
