Lee Childress

Lee Childress, beloved Co-Founder of “The M.A.C.Y. Awards,” Music & Arts Commendation for Youth, which for 42 years has
honored high school musical theatre students with trophies, medals & scholarships, passed away listening to her favorite songs, with her family at her side. Lee loved people, she had
a special relationship with students, she loved musical theatre, she loved life!
Lee attended L.A. High, worked in the motion picture industry, married her U.C.L.A. football hero, John, who co-founded .A.C.Y. Awards with her. They lived in L.A., Laguna Beach, and Laguna Woods and were active with schools, clubs, and theatre.
Survived by daughter, Cathe’, 2 granddaughters, 2 greatgrandchildren.
Services at Geneva Presbyterian Church, Laguna Hills, Oct. 9th at 7p.m.
