Marguerite “Marty” Schneider

Marty Schneider passed away peacefully at home from natural causes. She was 92 years young.

Marty was born in Yakima, Washington. It was there where she met her husband Fred, to whom she was married for sixty years. They had three children, Freddy, Jr., Patrick, and Paula.

The family moved to Newport Beach in 1965 and Marty became an active member of the Newport Beach Country Club. Marty and Fred loved playing golf with their friends, hosting wonderful dinner parties, and traveling. Marty was also a member of the Women’s Golf Team and was known for always hitting the ball down the middle and sinking her putts.

In 1985 Marty and Fred moved to Laguna Niguel where they continued their golf at El Niguel Country Club. In her later years, Marty resided at Park Newport and loved socializing with her neighbors at the clubhouse.

Marty is predeceased by her husband, Fred, and son Freddy, Jr. She is survived by her children, Patrick and Paula, by her son-in-law, Paul Bogenrief, and her granddaughter, Christine Bogenrief Doane.

Funeral services will by held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Yakima, Washington.
