A man robbed a Bank of America at 3300 E. Coast Hwy. in Corona del Mar on Thursday morning, Newport Beach police said.

The call came about 9:30 a.m., NBPD spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after he allegedly passed a teller a note demanding that the teller empty the money drawer, according to police.

No weapons were used during the robbery, Lowe said.

Police said the suspect, described as a 25- to 30-year-old, 6-foot tall white man wearing a gray “DC” sweatshirt, dark pants and dark sunglasses, left through the back door.
