Legacy Ball: In the March 29 Our Laguna column, “Sande St. John is a true legacy,” it incorrectly referred to Marthann Newton as “the late.” Newton is still alive.

School briefs: In the March 29 Briefly In Education roundup, it incorrectly stated that early bird advertisers in the SchoolPower Student Directory would receive special pricing. Early bird advertisers will not receive special pricing, but rather preferred placement in the directory.

Tunnel project: In a March 8 story titled “Tunnel realignment to go before water district board,” the deck incorrectly stated that the two-mile project is meant to replace the current 59-year-old reinforced plastic. The project in fact is meant to stabilize the current 59-year-old sewer tunnel, which is called unsafe. In another portion of the story, it was incorrectly reported the 6-foot-tall tunnel was made of reinforced plastic. The tunnel’s interior is currently made of earth and rock, shored up in a few areas with timber beams.
