“Touchdown Newport,” a documentary about the 1970 Newport Harbor High School football team, sold out in its premier at the Newport Beach Film Festival, but fans have another chance to see it this week.

A screening will be hosted by Newport Harbor at the campus’ Loates Hall theater starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

Admission is free to any players and coaches on NHHS’ current team; tickets are $10 for all others in advance online or at the door.

The film’s director, Randy Hamilton, and producer, Tony Horvath, were members of the 1970 team.

Emmy-winning actor Kyle Chandler narrates the film.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to invite alumni, neighbors, family and friends to fill the 400-seat venue.

TK Burgers will be at the event to sell food and donate some of the proceeds to the school’s football program.

More information and tickets are available at newportharborfootball.org.
