School bus passes available online

For the first time, parents can buy bus passes for their elementary and middle school students online through Laguna Beach Unified School District’s website, according to a news release.

To buy passes online, visit https://www.lbusd.org, select the Parent Resources tab on the right and click on the Transportation link.

The website includes information on bus stops, routes and rates.

An annual round-trip pass costs $309 per child, according to the website. Parents can also buy semiannual round-trip or annual one-way passes at reduced rates.

Bus pass applications are also accepted at the district’s central office, 550 Blumont St.

Passes will be mailed to parents who submit applications online, by mail or in person to the district office by Aug. 16, the release said.

Passes bought after Aug. 16 will be available for pickup at the district office 24 hours after an application is submitted.

The district mailed applications to all registered students in preparation for the first day of school Sept. 3.
