Police: Employee pulls knife at clothing store

A 22-year-old Newport Beach man was arrested after allegedly pulling a knife on a co-worker Monday, according to police.

Vincent Xuan-Vinh Tran was arrested at The Gap clothing store at 8012 E. Coast Hwy., according to Patch.com.

He was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, Newport Beach Police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella said.

Co-workers were joking around after the store had closed when Tran became upset and pulled a knife out of his pocket, according to Manzella.

Tran threatened one co-worker in particular before a manager interceded, she said.

No injuries were reported.
