City seeking applications for committees

The city is accepting applications for two committees: recreation and parking, traffic and circulation, according to the city clerk’s office.

Two two-year terms on the recreation committee are open while four two-year terms on the PTC committee are available. . Terms will run through Feb. 29, 2016.

The City Council will interview applicants at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 4, the release said.

Laguna Beach residents who are interested in serving on one of these committees can obtain an application from the city clerk’s office or from the city’s website at https://www.lagunabeachcity.net and file by 5 p.m. Jan. 28. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

The recreation committee meets on the first Monday of each month.

The PTC committee advises on topics such as parking, traffic, circulation, transit and traffic complaints. Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Council meetings are held in council chambers at 505 Forest Ave.
