Residents offered special waste collection, paper shredding

Laguna Beach and Waste Management will host the city's first event offering electronic waste and paint collection, as well as document shredding, March 22.

The new service will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Act V lot, 1900 Laguna Canyon Road. It is expected to be offered to residents and businesses annually as part of a franchise agreement with Waste Management, the city's disposal company, according to a city news release.

Related events for residents include a composting workshop from 10 to 11 a.m. April 12 at Bluebird Park and the annual compost giveaway from 8 a.m. to noon May 3 at the ACT V lot.

More information about these events is available on the city's website,
