Police arrest woman reported missing

A Costa Mesa woman reported missing by her mother was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday afternoon in Laguna Beach, according to police.

Larissa Cole Cederquist, 36, was taken into custody after being pulled over near Laguna Avenue and South Coast Highway, Sgt. Louise Callus said in an email.

Laguna Beach police responded to reports of a reckless driver in a silver Ford Escape and spotted the car near Broadway Street and South Coast Highway at 3:29 p.m., Callus said.

Officers followed the car for three blocks south on South Coast Highway until it eventually pulled over near Laguna Avenue, police said.

“I see no indication of a chase, maybe a failure to yield as one officer tried to pull her over ... and the driver kept driving,” Callus said.
