The long-awaited Vans “Off the Wall” Skatepark in Huntington Beach is having its grand opening Saturday.

The nearly 43,000-square-foot facility, at 7471 Center Ave., will host its ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. with Vans pro riders and local skateboard legends Christian Hosoi, Ed Templeton and Tosh Townend.

The park will have a transition area with a clover bowl and a backyard flow bowl. There is also a street plaza with various rails, stairs, planters and kickers for skaters to use.

“We’re excited to see this project that was years in the making finally come to fruition,” Vans President Kevin Bailey said in a press statement. “We’re thankful to the city of Huntington Beach, California Skateparks, Jack’s Garage and everyone who worked so hard in developing a world-class, family friendly skate facility that the whole community can enjoy.”

Regular park hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. BMX riders can use the park all day Wednesdays.
