Breakdown: Corona del Mar can clinch the outright Sunset League title as it faces Los Alamitos in the regular-season finale ... The Sea Kings (9-0, 4-0 in league) and Griffins (4-5, 3-1) shared the league title last year, as their matchup at Cerritos College was postponed due to lightning in the first quarter with the score tied 7-7. The programs could not reach an agreement on rescheduling the game, so it went down as a tie and both teams ended up 4-0-1 in the league ... CdM, the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 poll, routed rival Newport Harbor 56-17 last week and is averaging 47.3 points per game in league play. The Sea Kings have scored at least 42 points in each of their four league games so far ... Garbers had a season-high 52 rushing yards against the Sailors and scored his second and third rushing touchdowns of the season ... Los Alamitos is not ranked in Division 3 but has won its last three league games, including last week’s 28-12 victory at Huntington Beach ... A win on Friday would secure CdM’s first undefeated regular season since the 2013 team, which won the program’s third straight Southern Division title and went on to claim the CIF State Division III Bowl Game.
