Breakdown: Second-seeded Marina (10-2) travels to Hemet (8-4) in the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 11 playoffs, marking its first road game during the postseason … The Vikings needed a second-half comeback to edge Ontario Christian 24-21 in the quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals for the first time since 1985. It came at a price, as Vikings coach Jeff Turley said that starting quarterback Jack Miller suffered a season-ending collarbone injury … Del Toro, a dual-threat quarterback, adds another dimension to an offense that keeps fresh legs in the back field with the running back tandem of Brantt Riederich and Rush … Hemet extended its season with a late touchdown drive to beat No. 3 Pico Rivera El Rancho 35-32 in its quarterfinal game. The game-winning score was a 35-yard touchdown pass from Graves to Frankie Castillo. The Bulldogs have forced 29 turnovers on defense this season, including 20 interceptions ... Marina is trying to advance to its first section final.
