The high school football season isn’t over for Corona del Mar and Marina.

On Sunday, the Sea Kings and Vikings earned berths into CIF State Southern California Regional Bowl Games in their respective divisions. CdM is in the state playoffs for the first time since 2013, while Marina is making its state debut.

The Sea Kings (14-0) will host Oceanside (11-3) in the Division 1-A Bowl Game at Newport Harbor High on Saturday at 6 p.m. CdM is the CIF Southern Section Division 3 champion, and the Pirates won the CIF San Diego Section Division I title.

At stake for CdM, which won the Division III state crown six years ago, is a trip to the Division 1-A state championship game on Dec. 14 at Cerritos College. In the Northern California Regional Division 1-A Bowl Game, San Mateo Serra (12-1) hosts Fresno San Joaquin Memorial (12-1) on Saturday.

Ethan Garbers throws for four touchdowns and runs for three scores, leading the top-seeded Sea Kings to a 56-28 win over the No. 2 Lancers on Friday to avenge last year’s CIF Southern Section Division 4 final loss.

Marina (12-2) is at home against La Jolla (9-4) in the Division 4-A Bowl Game at Westminster High on Saturday at 6 p.m. Marina claimed the CIF Southern Section Division 11 crown, the program’s first section title, and La Jolla is the CIF San Diego Section Division III champion.

The Marina-La Jolla winner will face the winner of Saturday’s Northern California Regional Division 4-A Bowl Game between Escalon (12-1) and Chico Pleasant Valley (7-5) in the state final on Dec. 14.

The No. 2-seeded Vikings beat the No. 4 Mustangs 18-9 to win the CIF Southern Section Division 11 championship on Friday at Westminster High.
