High School Roundup: Edison girls’ lacrosse tops Trabuco Hills

Gwen Ontiveros had seven goals and one assist to lead the Edison High girls’ lacrosse team to an 18-10 win at Trabuco Hills on Monday.

Blakely Malpass scored five goals to go with two assists for the Chargers (3-2). Alexandra Bryant had two goals, and Zoe Soukup made three saves.

Anna Beachner, Melanie Wieland, Sydney Hoggard and Rylee Siegel each had one goal.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Pacifica Christian Orange County 3, Hawthorne Math and Science Academy 0: The Tritons earned a 25-9, 25-11, 25-14 sweep in Monday’s nonleague match at home.

Pacifica Christian (3-0) hosts to Estancia (2-5) on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

BASEBALL

Glendora 4, Edison 1: Tyler Weaver brought in Ethan Brand with a run-scoring single in the first inning for the Chargers in Monday’s game in the Downey Tournament.

Edison is now 4-3-1 overall.
