High School Roundup: CdM boys’ volleyball third at O.C. Championships
The Corona del Mar High boys’ volleyball team finished in a tie for third place in the Orange County Championships on Saturday at Edison High.
Shane Premer had seven kills, as the Sea Kings defeated Edison 25-22, 25-23 to win their pool.
Matt Olson added six kills in the contest.
In the semifinals, the Sea Kings fell to Huntington Beach 25-22, 25-22.
Olson supplied seven kills in the loss, and Justin Browning added six kills.
CdM is now 5-1 overall.
Edison, which tied for fifth place, has a record of 8-4.
TRACK AND FIELD
Kylen Patel, Austin Liao, Greg Suhr and Luke Nataupsky ran 11 minutes 51.52 seconds to place third in the boys’ Division III distance medley relay on Saturday in the Earl Engman Relays at Portola High.
The Lightning quartet established a new school record for the event.
