Cerrato, Beaudette in semifinals

CORONA — Ryan Cerrato at 171 pounds and Bradley Beaudette at 189 pounds both advanced to the semifinals for Newport Harbor on the first day of competition Friday at Roosevelt High.

Coach Dominic Bulone said Beaudette had two pins and Cerrato had two decision victories. Both have clinched a top-six finish and are vying to make it to the CIF Masters Meet.

Jesus Sotelo is still alive in the consolation bracket at 130 pounds.
