The Laguna Beach Water Polo 14-and-under girls’ team brought home the bronze medal from the recent Winterfest tournament at Fullerton College.

This tournament featured some of the strongest teams from throughout the state. Laguna’s 14 girls’ squad competed in the top flight division.

Laguna began the tournament with a 12-4 win against Riverside Water Polo. In the next two games, Laguna leveraged its defensive prowess and shut down the opposing teams’ offense, resulting in a 10-2 victory over Anteater UCI and a 12-3 win over Northwood.

“This tournament showed the promise and potential of the 14 girls’ team,” said Chad Beeler, administrator of Laguna Beach Water Polo Club. “Being in the top three is a great result at this early stage in the season.”
