UCI baseball will have viewing party

UC Irvine baseball fans who can't make the trip to Virginia to watch their Anteaters play in a NCAA super regional now have an alternative.

There will be a super regional viewing party for 'Eater Nation at the ESPN Zone Anaheim, as UCI takes on the University of Virginia in a best-of-three series that starts Saturday at 10 a.m.

ESPN Zone Anaheim, located at Downtown Disney, will be opening its doors an hour early at 10 and has reserved its screening room, which features a 16-foot HD TV for the Anteaters' fans. That will also take place on Sunday at 10 a.m. The games will be televised by ESPNU.

All fans in attendance wearing UCI gear will receive a complimentary $10 Arena Gaming Card. The kitchen and bar will be open. In addition, five hours of free parking will be available in the Downtown Disney parking lot with validation from the ESPN Zone.

The winner of the three-game series advances to the College World Series June 18 through 29 in Omaha, Neb.

The games will also be carried on KUCI 88.9 FM or over the Internet at the Listen Live page on UCI's athletics website.
