Newport Harbor has led each of the previous four meetings at halftime ... Corona del Mar is attempting to win its sixth CIF title, but first in Division 1 ... Newport Harbor has won four previous titles, all in Division 1 ... The most recent Sailors title came in 2008, when Newport overcame a three-goal deficit late to beat CdM, 6-5, in overtime ... The only other Division 1 title match to go to overtime was in 2001, when Foothill beat Santa Margarita ... CdM’s Saunders (2009) and Newport’s McLaren (2010) are the only players in Saturday’s game with previous CIF championship game experience. Dos Pueblos won both games ...
