AZUSA — The visiting Lions led, 2-0, 3-2 and 5-3, before the Cougars erupted for eight in the eighth inning of the Golden State Athletic Conference game Thursday.

Bryce Arroyo was three for four with two runs batted in and one run, while Henry Yates was two for three with one RBI and one run for the Lions (14-12, 5-10 in conference).

No. 5-ranked APU is 25-6, 14-2.
