OCC wins Pacific Coast Conference

COSTA MESA - Dillon Emery and Chris Van Vuuren each recorded six kills, helping the Orange Coast College men’s volleyball team win the Pacific Coast Conference title for the second straight season with a 26-14, 25-18, 25-15 sweep of San Diego City on Wednesday.

The Pirates (13-4, 10-1 in conference) play one more match against Palomar College on Friday at 6 p.m. before competing in the state semifinals at Long Beach City College on Thursday. The time and opponent haven’t been determined.

Michael Lakin had 24 assists for OCC and Victor Schaefer collected nine digs.
