Returning starters Dane Estrella, Justin Harrison, Troy Oates and Alec Niederland led the Chargers throughout the tournament.

“The South Coast Tournament was arguably one of the deepest and toughest tournament I have seen in along time,” Edison Coach Diggy Riley said. “All five game we played were against formidable opponents and it really challenged us mentally to be prepared throughout the weekend. Our boys competed, and being that the season for us is still so young, it was nice seeing the boys implement the strategies we have been working on in our practices.”

Edison competes Thursday through Saturday at the Villa Park Tournament.

On Wednesday, Huntington Beach and Edison square off at 6:05 p.m. at Newport Harbor High in the Sunset League opener for both teams. Marina and Fountain Valley tangle in another league opener at 5 p.m.
