VU men earn All-American tennis honors
Vanguard University sophomore Roger Muri and freshman Stefan Kilchofer earned first-team All-American status in men’s tennis.
They helped lead the Lions to the NAIA National Championship semifinals and a 24-1 record.
Muri was 22-1 in singles, while Kilchofer was 23-1.
Senior Chris Freeman, a Costa Mesa native, earned first-team All-American status for the second straight for NAIA national champion Embry-Riddle.
Vanguard senior Lucas Larsson, who was 11-8 in singles, earned second-team All-American status.
Senior Robin Wagner was an honorable mention for the Lions.
