Breakdown: Corona del Mar, ranked No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Southern Division poll, looks for its 15th straight victory dating back to last season … Capistrano Valley, No. 9 in the Southwest Division poll, was only one of two teams to beat CdM last year … Sea Kings have a bye after this week and open their Pacific Coast League title defense against Irvine on Oct. 11 … Cougars have won two straight, including a 51-26 win against Woodbridge, a Pacific Coast League team … Capistrano Valley is averaging 32.2 points per game, while CdM is allowing 12.2 points.
