Huntington Beach spiritual leaders bless the ocean at annual service
Huntington Beach spiritual leaders gathered Sunday morning to honor the ocean in the annual Blessing of the Waves ceremony.
The roughly three-hour service was held at the Huntington Beach Pier.
It included a blessing ceremony by Father Christian Mondor of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church in Huntington Beach.
Program participants represented a variety of faiths, including Muslim, Christian, Zoroastrian, Jewish, Bahai and Sikh.
