Dachshunds have a doggone good time at SoCal Wienerfest

With their tiny legs churning and floppy ears flopping, dozens of dachshunds dashed onto the sand in Huntington Beach on Saturday during the third annual SoCal Wienerfest.

The event, at the dog beach at Goldenwest Street and Pacific Coast Highway, brought together the hot dog-shaped dogs for a day of fun.

Some competitive canines ran in wienerdog races as their owners cheered them on from the sidelines. There also were contests and raffles.
