High School Girls’ Soccer Roundup: Pacifica Christian blanks Brethren Christian

Junior captain Sadie Hill had two goals and two assists as host Pacifica Christian Orange County beat Brethren Christian 7-0 in a nonleague game Thursday at Vanguard University.

Corrine Carlson, Brooklyn Motske, Marisa Davidson, Ava Dillion and Buze Harrison also scored for the Tritons (2-0). Casie Carlson had two assists, and Abbie Sanders added an assist.

Brethren Christian goalkeeper Alona Kellick was busy, making 12 saves for the Warriors (0-1).

Pacifica Christian plays Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Santa Monica New Roads School, while Brethren Christian is home against Samueli Academy on Dec. 12.

Ocean View 1, Calvary Chapel 0

Senior forward Madison White scored the game-winner in the second half to lift the Seahawks in their nonleague season opener Thursday at Ocean View High.

Sophomore Brittany Lopez had the assist for Ocean View, which plays host to Fountain Valley on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as part of the Ocean View Winter Tournament.

Newport Harbor 2, Woodbridge 1

The Sailors won their season opener on the road Thursday night.

Newport Harbor plays host to Kingsburg on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Edison 2, San Clemente 2

‎Michael Guptill scored both goals for the visiting Chargers in Thursday’s season opener.

‎Amy Kirk made four saves for the Chargers, and Jessica Oatis had one.

Edison plays at Corona Santiago at 5 p.m. Tuesday in an Aliso Cup game.
