Simba

Simba, the gorgeous petite black Burmese-looking cat , is wearing his pirate costume for Halloween. Simba is best known for his beautiful bright green eyes. He is very playful and kitten-like as he throws his toys in the air and chases them. He relaxes afterward by watching the birds outdoors.

Community Animal Network is now focusing its efforts on communication, hoping that people will see the need to help local animals and send donations, or get involved by becoming a foster parent. The animal network is on Twitter; follow us @AnimalNetwork.

Lack of donations is causing Community Animal Network concern. We have has not received any donations this week that support local animals’ care and vet medical costs, and may not be able to recoup the necessary funds needed to make up for a loss of a $10,000 donation that we grew accustomed to. Some programs to the public are already affected by the network’s strict budgeting.

During the 2009 holiday season, we received $2,377 in donations. The network will need people to give more this year if it hopes to continue its work with with local animals.

Consider giving and mail your checks to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA 92658. Memo your checks “Support Local Animals” nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.
