Dr. Jana Kohl, author of "A Rare Breed of Love," signs copies of her book at Just Food For Dogs, 500 W. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach . The event is from noon to 2 p.m. and proceeds go to animal welfare organizations in Orange County. Dogs will also be available for adoption via the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.

French Impressionists

Pianist Orli Shaham will lead musicians with the Pacific Symphony and mezzo-soprano Susana Poretsky in "French Impressions," a concert featuring chamber music by Debussy, Ravel and Fauré.
