Community Run

The fifth annual Costa Mesa Community Fun Run kicks off in 10-kilometer, 5K and 2K categories to benefit the community and the foundations supporting TeWinkle and Costa Mesa middle schools, as well as Estancia and Costa Mesa high schools. Packet pickup and late registration will start at 6:30 a.m.; The 5K and 10K races will start at 8 a.m., followed by the start of the 2K race at 9 a.m. The event is at Fairview Park and Estancia High School. Multicultural Fair

Thompkin Cellars, 1954 Placentia Ave., No. 107, Costa Mesa, will host a wine tasting and "Plastic Ocean" book signing. The event will raise funds to benefit the Algalita Marine Research Institute. L.A. Phil at SCFTA

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County will present guitarist Pepe Romero and the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a concert at 8 p.m. at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, 615 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa.
