Share

Jessica Barkley Atelier is hosting an invitation-only Summer 2013 and Bridal Fashion show on Wednesday.

Barkley, who designs “exclusive one-of-a-kind, high-end, formal evening wear for a highly discerning clientele,” is known for her daytime wear that transitions easily to evening events.

She’s now introduced a small line of custom-made bridal gowns starting at $2,500, according to a news release. She first launched her fashion line in late 2009 and early 2010 and has gained traction with Orange County’s more upscale and sophisticated women.

The designer, who was in born in Peru, has been designing for more than 18 years and lived in Laguna for more than 25 years.

“Being in Southern California and living by the beach already presents women with plenty — if not too many — choices in casual to semi-casual ‘lifestyle’ apparel,” Barkley said in a statement. “But my customers are women who have a true awareness of classic European style. Like me, they travel abroad and are open to the cultures and designs they encounter. That balance of the modern with the timelessly tasteful that is different, a cut just slightly, but noticeably, above the usual California look — that is what I’m trying to bring to my clients.”

For appointments for custom-designed fashions or an invitation to the trunk show, contact Barkley at (949) 338-1408 or jessicabarkley@jessicabarkley.com. Jessica Barkley Atelier is at 760 S. Coast Hwy.; (949) 338-1408.
