This petite Chihuahua mix is enjoying an exciting week. Chosen to appear as a shelter ambassador at the Huntington Beach City Council meeting, Destiny was welcomed by the mayor. However, she has not let fame go to her head, remaining sweet-natured and wanting nothing more than to be held. In fact, she became a volunteer favorite after she arrived at the shelter a few months ago, precisely because she is such a joy to take for walks and to cuddle. Destiny also likes other dogs, if they aren’t too intimidating, and appears to ignore cats. At 2 1/2 years old and 7 pounds, she is healthy, spayed and housebroken.
