Orange Coast College searching for man who attempted to enter Early Childhood Lab

Orange Coast College public safety officials are warning students and faculty about suspicious activity that took place on Wednesday afternoon near the Early Childhood Lab building.

Campus authorities received a report at around 12:15 p.m. of a man approaching the locked doors of the Early Childhood Lab School.

An employee who exited the building to speak to the man said the visitor claimed to attend the lab, that he was kept underground and was fed and given water through vents.

As the man walked away, he turned and made a shooting gesture with his hand at the employee and entered the driver’s side door of a dark-colored vehicle. He then exited the campus’ parking lot E.

The Costa Mesa Police Department was notified.

The man is described to be in his early 20s, white and blond.

His eye color is unknown and he is estimated to weigh around 200 pounds. He was wearing a white floral print shirt, a black baseball cap and gray shorts. He was not wearing shoes.
