Santa Claus got sand instead of snow in his boots Saturday when he stopped by the 22nd annual oceanside Christmas celebration at Crystal Cove State Park.
Santa arrived in a lifeguard vehicle to sit on a throne where he took holiday requests as the sun dropped to the horizon. The evening included a tree lighting on the beach.
