Runners and their four-legged companions dashed in Huntington Beach on Sunday to raise funds for animal cancer research.

The nonprofit Doggy Dash Cause for Paws presented its Doggy Dash 5K/10K near Pacific Coast Highway, with proceeds benefiting the Animal Cancer Foundation. A donation also will be made to Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, according to the nonprofit’s website.

All runners received a medal for participating.
