The Huntington Harbour Boat Parade sailed for the 55th time Saturday in Huntington Beach, with a repeat cruise coming Sunday.

The event, presented by the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee, features boats and waterfront homes decked out with decorations inspired by this year’s theme, “Musical Kicks on Route 66.” The displays also will be featured in the upcoming Cruise of Lights, which will take passengers on narrated tours of the harbor Dec. 15-18 and 21-23.

The boat parade begins Sunday at 5:15 p.m. and runs until about 9 p.m. The route starts west of Carousel Lane.
