OBITUARIES - April 19, 2000

Mr. Don G. Fontana, the choral conductor for 10 years at St. Andrew’s

Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, died from complications due to

Alzheimer’s disease April 12. He was 69.

Mr. Fontana, of Orange, was a prominent Southland conductor who at one

time served as the Crystal Cathedral’s minister of music.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Gregory and Randall; and

twin daughters, Kimberly and Kristin.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today at St. Andrew’s

Presbyterian Church.
