Died at the age of 93 on June 8, 2002. As a resident of Laguna Beach

from 1949 to 1972, Gwinn was an avid fisherman, world traveler and very

active in musical theater and civic activities. He received an master’s

degree in English and Speech from Stanford University in 1935, and was

perhaps best known for his role as the judge on the television show “Day

in Court,” and as master of ceremonies of “What’s the Name of that Song?”

He is survived by his wife Dorothea; his two sons Bill and Mike; six

grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A private family memorial

will be held to celebrate his life.
