Jean Giddings Tuttle

Born June 16, 1910, died May 11, 2002 in Lake Forest after a long

illness. She was raised in Laguna Beach and after graduating from the

University of Redlands in 1932, Tuttle returned to Laguna to teach

physical education at Laguna Beach High School.

After marriage and raising two children, Tuttle taught seventh-grade

English at Marie Thurston Junior High School until her retirement.

She is survived by her two children, Barbara and David; two

grandchildren, Deborah and Tammy; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and

Corinne.

Memorial services will be held at the Laguna Presbyterian Church on

June 4, at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to: the

renovation fund of the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach c/o David

Tuttle, 27275 Delemos Mission Viejo, CA, 92692.

William Burdett Buckley

Died June 6, 2002 after a brief illness in Napa. A longtime Laguna

Beach resident, Buckley was involved in the North Laguna Assn. and

Village Laguna. His love of the village of Laguna and his commitment to

preserving its natural beauty was a passion of his.

He was also a lifelong Democrat, and a member of the Laguna Beach

Democratic Club.

He is survived by his three loving daughters and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Laguna Assn. would be

appreciated.
